Research In Motion gets a lot of bad press at the moment for its products and services, but it has still managed to notch up more than one billion downloads from its BlackBerry App World apps store. Now that store has launched its version 3.0, with a revamped homescreen; new apps, games and themes channels; an easier way for users to access their accounts; and sharing features to tell friends about apps via BBM, Facebook, Twitter, email and text message. It will certainly improve the experience for users, but will it convince more developers, publishers and brands to support BlackBerry? The jury is out on that one.
