Codify is a really fascinating app that’s just come out for iPad, created by TwoLivesLeft. The idea: it wants to get people programming on their tablets, using the Lua language to tap in code and manipulate it with some touchscreen gestures.
Users are being encouraged to create games and simulations using the sample code and assets. A great idea in terms of stimulating people’s interest in programming.
That said, MacRumors reports that there’s one key downside: the inability to export the code from the device. Apple’s App Store rules are thought to be the reason.
