Go on, guess. Around 1,000. That’s according to a (very technical) blog post by Netflix explaining how it makes its service available across a wide range of Android devices.

“To put device diversity in context, we see almost around 1000 different devices streaming Netflix on Android every day,” it explains. The post goes into detail about how Netflix tests its app to ensure it works well on as many Android phones and tablets as possible, based on differences in processors, memory, operating systems.

Reading the whole thing is best left to testers and developers who understand the technical ins and outs, but it’s that topline figure of 1,000 different Android handsets accessing a popular app that sticks in our mind.
