Draw Something developer OMGPOP may have just been acquired for $180m by Zynga, but it’s keen to reassure players that it’s firmly focused on improving its wildly popular mobile game.

In an email sent to registered players tonight, OMGPOP explains what to expect from a forthcoming update to Draw Something. Key features include “sharing drawings on Twitter and Facebook” and “save drawings to your devices’ photo library”.

Also included will be notifications for Android players, an increase of the max streak from 99 to 999, an Undo button for the last brush stroke and – perhaps most crucially for players who’ve been hammering the game recently – ”more words”.

There will also be bug fixes, and more new stuff to come in future updates. “In addition to all of the above, you can expect more great features in the future – like the much anticipated ability to chat,” explains the company.

Draw Something is a bona-fide craze, having notched up 35m downloads in its first seven weeks before Zynga realised it liked it so much, it had to buy the company. The game currently has 14m daily active users (DAUs).
