Good news for trees: American Football team the Denver Broncos is to stop printing 500-page playbooks for its 120 players and staff, in favour of iPads with game plans, scouting reports, video clips and other data for each match. “The advantage is that when they leave the building, they can take everything home with them very easily and watch tape at night and review the game plan installation,” Broncos manager Brian Xanders tells the Denver Post. “This is their full-time job — to prepare and do whatever they can to help us win each week.” The iPads aren’t allowed to be used on the sidelines though, due to NFL rules. The team worked with startup PlayerLync on the bespoke app.
