The popular online virtual worlds have been pretty slow to launch fully-fledged client apps to access them, preferring spin-off apps based on individual features or characters. The latest is Stardoll, the fashion-focused virtual world for girls. It’s launched an iPhone and iPad app called Stardoll Access, which lets users access their MeDoll avatars and status points, as well as new virtual item and accessory details, messaging and friend requests. The app is free.
