Swampy in Where’s My Water? was Disney’s first attempt at debuting a character in a mobile game, then taking it to other media. And, indeed retail shelves. The company has just launched a series of merchandise for Swampy and his in-game friends Cranky and Allie. That means *deep breath* plush and novelty toys, consumer electronics accessories, and apparel and accessories, with consumer electronics, stationery, home accessories and Halloween costumes (!) to follow later this year. Hasbro, Jakks Pacific and Toys R Us are all on board as partners. Disney had previously announced plans for a 12-episode web series based on Where’s My Water? which will debut later this year too.
