PaidContent has some very good analysis of British newspaper The Times’ print and digital subscriber numbers, with the headline claim that digital may overtake print for the paper by 2014. The key point, though: “That’s not solely due to digital growth, which is actually sluggish. Much of the convergence is due to ever-decreasing print circulation.” The analysis shows that The Times only added 908 new digital subscribers in April, with those people paying £2 a week for web-only access, or £4 for web+mobile access.
