Adam Jansch – son of Bert – has launched his latest EP as an iPhone app. Futures EP is pitched as an “open outcome record” – ”an instance of a new post-record medium in which each playback of the record sounds different to the last”. Which is similar to the Bronze format invented by another artist, Gwilym Gold, last year, and also released in app form. “The idea here is to open up record media to previously unavailable creative potential, whilst presenting songs to the listener in a familiar form.”
