There have been rumours of the pigs from Angry Birds playing a more central role in future titles for a while now. British tech site Pocket Lint claims to have seen images of such a game in action, though, with a release coming this side of Christmas. “The idea of the new game will see you trying to protect the eggs you’ve grabbed from the birds, but still feature a catapult and the now famous wooden and stone structures,” claims the piece. It also suggests that there will be a number of different pig characters – good for Rovio’s expanding merchandise business.
