What to do after having two monster App Store hits with the Infinity Blade games? For Chair Entertainment, the answer is… a political beat ‘em up starring Barack Obama and Mitt Romney.

No, really.

The game is called VOTE!!! and it’s a free download for iPhone and iPad. “Equip your candidate of choice with a variety of iconic American outfits, accessories and items. Use your skills to unlock score boosters, win votes and rack up the top score as you campaign for victory,” explains its App Store pitch.

Those items include baseball caps, clown noses, a “Sweet Mustache” and the “Balloon of Justice”, but there’s a serious side to the game too.

Players earn votes to award to their preferred candidate, and can see how other players have been voting around the world. Meanwhile, the game works in information from campaigning group Rock the Vote to encourage real-life voting too.

VOTE!!! is currently live in the New Zealand App Store, meaning it will be rolling out across the world over the coming hours – expect it to be available in the UK by tomorrow morning (Thursday 23 August).
