Google’s Nexus 7 Android tablet device will go on sale in France on September 3, with more European countries tipped to follow.
Tech Crunch reports the French release date, citing leaks from several retailers including Fnac. It predicts that this will be part of a wider European release strategy for the tablet, which was released in the UK, US and Australia in July.
The Nexus 7 sold out quickly on the Google Play store in the US and UK and Tech-thoughts now predicts that the device could sell up to 8 million units in 2012 based on current supply chain data. Google itself predicted 3 million sales for the Nexus 7 this year.
