CNN and Time magazine have teamed up to create an app covering the 2012 US party Conventions.

The CNN / Time Convention Floor Pass offers breaking news feeds, exclusive commentary, previews of key speechs and the Time Cover Story of the Day, as the Republicans and Democrats prepare for their National Conventions over the next month.

CNN and Time do, of course, share a parent company in Time Warner, although it is unusual to see a broadcaster and a print magazine working together in this way.
