The Appside’s parent company Music Ally is organising the EMI Innovation Challenge, sponsored by Wiggin on the evening of 10 October.

The event, which will take place between 6.30pm and 9.30pm at EMI’s Wrights Lane London office, will see eight music startups duking it out in an X Factor-meets-Dragon’s Den format.

The eight startups are Bandapp, MPme, Songdrop, Soundrop, Synchtank, Transmit Promo, Vyclone and Whosampled, with a judging panel including Songkick founder Ian Hogarth and Wellington Partners’ Daniel Waterhouse.
