Children’s interactive story platform PlayTales is now powering more than 5m reads a month on iOS devices.

Mobile Entertainment reports this mile stone, adding that 3m children now using the interactive books service every day.

The news comes two months after the launch of PlayTales Gold Bookstore a subscription service whereby parents pay £2.49 a month to access the entire PlayTales catalogue. PlayTales CEO Enrique Tapias tells Mobile Entertainment, “PlayTales has been successful globally because it provides what every parent is looking for in an application. Users can build their own home library on their mobile devices and thanks to each story’s high level of interactivity and content, children are able to stay focused on what they are reading and enjoy the learning process.
