Calvin Harris’ new album 18 Months has its very own app for iPhone and Android, enabling fans to stream the album in full. Well, they can if they dance.
In a clever twist, the app’s full-album tracks will play as long as the user dances (or, at least, keeps the smartphone moving – so it can work by running, or simply vigorous wrist-shaking. So to speak.)
“With secret tracks and content to unlock, it’s a whole new way to experience one of the biggest albums of the year,” notes the App Store listing.
That extra content includes taking a photo of the album cover to unlock remixes. Columbia Records worked with studio We Make Awesome Sh.it on the app, which is free to download on both platforms.
