Tumblr has updated its iOS app to make it “completely native”.
Rather than adding a host of new features, the move means that the app is more closely integrated into iOS and therefore “faster, smoother, and more responsive” according to Tumblr.
Early responses to the update have been largely positive, with TechCrunch claiming that “the company has backed up its claims in every sense of the word”. Meanwhile, on the App Store Gidon Feen says, “love the new design”, giving the app a five-star rating.
On its website, Tumblr says it spans 80.0m blogs, with 16.8bn monthly page views.
The company recently launched a new photosharing app called Photoset, allowing users to create groups of photos to share online.
