IPC Media has created Kindle Fire apps for 34 of its magazine brands in the UK, as another 27 IPC titles head to the Apple Newsstand.
To mark the launch on Kindle Fire, Amazon is offering a free 60-day trial for six IPC titles – Marie Claire, woman&home, Decanter, Cycle Sport, Ideal Home and Uncut. The Kindle Fire editions will be priced in line with the physical magazines, from £1.49 to £4.99 per issue.
Meanwhile, the addition of 27 further IPC titles to Newsstand brings the total number of IPC brands available there to 62.
IPC digital publishing director Paul Cheal said, “We are delighted to be able to make our titles available on new digital storefronts as they emerge. We are starting to see strong demand for our magazines on Apple Newsstand, and as Kindle Fire already accounts for 20% of tablet sales in the US, this represents a fantastic opportunity for IPC’s entire portfolio.”
