Photo sharing app EyeEm has reportedly secured Red Bull and Lufthansa as brand partners for its “photo missions” feature, after passing the million-download mark.
TechCrunch reports on the deals, citing “sources close to the company”. “Photo missions” see EyeEm users encouraged to take pictures based around a particular theme, such as “kisses”. TechCrunch speculates that Lufthansa could, for example, run a “mission” about a weekend in Paris or Berlin, while Red Bull could do something related to extreme sports.
EyeEm, which has apps for iOS, Android and Windows Phone, tells TechCrunch it has now passed 1m app downloads, with overall growth, including downloads, registered users, number of photos uploaded and monthly active users, at around 30% a month.
