British magazine publisher Future is launching a new digital magazine for iPad called tech. (yes, full-stop included) as a spin-off from its TechRadar website.

The first issue will go on sale on 29 November, and tech. will be weekly thereafter, costing £0.69 per issue or £19.99 for an annual subscription. The aim: to summarise the last week’s technology news.

“No single website has all the best reaction and opinion, and no app provides a first class curated experience. This magazine solves the problem, bringing all the really essential technology writing together into one smartly edited whole,” says publisher Nick Merritt.

Future already has a popular digital edition of its monthly T3 magazine on iOS, but the real competition for tech. will come from similar offshoots from other technology sites: Engadget’s weekly Distro and TheNextWeb’s monthly TNW Magazine.
