Netflix UK and Ireland has agreed a deal with Warner Bros that will bring past seasons of shows such as Gossip Girl and The Vampire Diaries to subscribers.

The multi-year deal, which follows a similar hook up between Warner Bros and Netflix Canada, will kick off with The Vampire Diaries, with three seasons available from December 1. This will be followed by five seasons of Gossip Girl  from March 1, while Chuck and Fringe will appear some time next year.

Netflix chief content officer Ted Sarandos told TV Wise, “We are thrilled to be the exclusive online subscription home for these incredibly entertaining shows from Warner Bros. Television. We are giving fans the opportunity to relive their favourite moments from these programmes while hopefully attracting a lot of new ones who will be able to enjoy these serialized stories from their very beginning.”
