Developer Grubby Hands has launched its second officially-licensed iOS game based on boxer David Haye.
David Haye’s Jungle Rumble went live on the App Store on Friday, presumably aiming to capitalise on his recent appearance on British reality show I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here, where he took third place.
“This game allows David Haye fans to take control of the former Heavy Weight Champion and apply the noble and gentlemanly art of boxing to the faces of some jungle inhabitants,” explains the App Store listing for the 69p download, which gets players competing to win signed merchandise.
“This is an official David Haye game and is in no way associated with any other parties. All other characters and events in this game are fictional.,” specifies the listing – presumably to avoid a tricksy phone call from ITV’s lawyers.
The game’s release follows up David Haye’s Knockout, a more traditional boxing game released by Grubby Hands in June 2011, when Haye was preparing for his heavyweight unification fight with Wladimir Klitschko.
