Ticketing site SeatGeek has launched its first mobile app, for iPhone. The app pulls in ticket listings from more than 120 resellers, and helps people choose which tickets to buy based on interactive venue maps showing where they’ll be sitting.

There are also 3D seat-view images for bigger venues, showing what people will see if they sit there. The app also includes SeatGeek’s ‘Deal Score’ feature, which ranks and colour-codes tickets to highlight the best (and worst) deals.

The launch comes a few months after SeatGeek raised a $1.65m funding round in late August, with co-founder Jack Groetzinger saying at the time that the cash would be partly spent on “a really great mobile app”. As we noted then, mobile has been a blind spot for much of the ticketing industry for some time, but the tide is turning.
