Adobe is culling its Touch range of tablet apps, announcing it will no longer update its Debut, Collage and Proto apps or the Android versions of Adobe Ideas and Adobe Kuler.
Announcing the move, Adobe admitted that some of its apps have failed to take off. “Over the past year, we’ve been exploring how the creative process can be augmented and enhanced on touch devices,” it said. “While some of our efforts have been successful, others have been less so.”
Adobe will, however, continue to support two Touch apps: Adobe Photoshop Touch for Android and iOS and Adobe Ideas for iOS, and said it will “keep…. exploring other ways to enhance creative workflows on tablets”.
