Classical music fans have an increasing number of apps to provide audio and video digitally, with iOS app The Berliner Philharmoniker’s Digital Concert Hall the latest to launch.

“Experience classical music concerts in HD video and high fidelity audio live from the Berlin Philharmonie, featuring the Berliner Philharmoniker, Sir Simon Rattle and the world’s most renown conductors and soloists,” explains its App Store listing.

The app will stream more than 30 live webcasts every season, with an archive of 400 past performances available too.

It’s free to download, but users will pay £7.49 for a ’7-Day Ticket’ for unlimited access to the concerts, or £19.49 for a ’30-Day Ticket’ for a month. Sony is the technology partner for the app.
