Luminosity is to relaunch its brain-training app for iOS later this quarter to offer personalised mental workouts, after the current application attracted 50,000 downloads a day in January.
The company is also planning to launch iPad and Android apps, as well as several new mobile games, as part of a wider mobile push. The news came as Luminosity announced it had reached 35m members worldwide, a 150% increase year-on-year.
The service added 100,000 users ever day in January, with more than 17m unique visitors in the US alone accessing the site. In the same month, its iOS app reached number one in the App Store’s Education category for both free apps and top grossing apps and was one of the top 10 free apps overall.
Luminosity said it planned to build on this in 2013 by building its mobile experience, expanding internationally and boosting its product offering with new brain training games.
