Apple-ad-hoc-cash-networkApple has filed a patent for an “ad-hoc cash dispensing network” that could turn iOS users into a local micro-lending group.

According to Unwired View, the patent envisages users who need cash launching an app and telling it how much they need. The app would then send this request to local iOS users, who can decide whether to hand over the money or not. Should the cash-strapped customer find someone willing to give them the money, the relevant amount (plus transaction fee) will then be deducted from their iTunes account and put into the account of the person who has given them the cash.
