Amazon digital audiobook site Audible has relaunched its iOS app with full support for the iPad. The relaunch reflects the service’s popularity on the Apple tablet, with more than 20% of Audible customers using the existing iOS app on their iPad. Version 2.0 of the app also includes a new design and the ability for users to sign in with their Amazon accounts (rather than having to create a new Audible account).

The audio books service will now charge $14.95 for one audiobook a month or $22.95 for two, rather than its previous unlimited offer for $24.95 a month. The move will put it in direct competition with the Amazon-owned Audible, which has long sold audio books on an a-la-carte basis.
